Packaging consulting instead of packaging guesswork
Which packaging is suitable?
When it comes to choosing the right packaging, there are many factors to consider: Which product needs to be protected? Should the packaging be stackable, and is it intended for single or multiple use? And which packaging machines are used in your process? Well-designed packaging saves costs, conserves resources and optimises processes. We analyse your requirements and develop tailor-made solutions.
We differ from many other companies in that callers are put directly through to a personal contact at the other end of the line and do not have to navigate their way through a menu on an automated telephone system. We know who the right contact person is for each particular enquiry and are happy to help. A personal word to the caller, or even a joke or tip – all of this creates a positive atmosphere for the conversation and makes the caller feel comfortable.
Claudia Willenweber, Head Office Hann. Münden
In the office, I am available to customers in the event of malfunctions and questions about our machines – from paper cushioning machines to stretch wrappers and air bag machines. I ensure that our customers' concerns are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
In the field, I offer on-site solutions: I take the time to understand customers' wishes and respond to their concerns individually. After maintenance or repairs, I answer any outstanding questions about operation and offer short training sessions if required. Finally, I remind customers that we are available by telephone so that they receive the best possible long-term support from the entire service department.
Thomas Schneemann, Service Technician
I support our customers with friendly and competent advice, e.g. when selecting products in the shop, ensure that delivery dates are met, organise replacement materials in the event of long waiting times and also send samples on request. If budget issues arise, I negotiate the best terms to find a suitable solution. During core working hours, someone from my team is always available, and even during holidays or illness, we guarantee seamless support. Everything to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.

Understanding processes – finding solutions
Our aim is to understand your requirements and processes as thoroughly as possible and to develop the right packaging solution for your product. We take the time to do this. We discuss the packaging process at your company and your packaging requirements. Based on this core information, we make suggestions for a customised solution.
Whether it's a clever combination of standard products or customised packaging design, our employees have many years of extensive experience in packaging design. They have a wide variety of materials at their disposal for maximum flexibility, tailored to your needs.

1. On-site analysis
Recording of all relevant criteria relating to packaging, shipping and storage, as well as key development information.
2. Design phase
Development of initial designs and a material concept based on analyses and material tests.
3. Coordination
Concept coordination between you and us based on drafts in 3D format, including calculations.
4. Prototyping
If you are satisfied with the concept, a prototype will be created following your order.
5. Packaging testing
Verification of design and prototype – plus packaging testing and demonstration in practical tests.
6. Series production
If all key data is met to your complete satisfaction, you can place your order for packaging production. We will immediately initiate the production of your packaging.

Packaging consulting at Knüppel is carried out in a structured, multi-phase process, from on-site analysis to series production.
At the beginning, an on-site analysis is carried out to record all relevant criteria relating to packaging, shipping and storage, as well as key development information, if necessary. Initial packaging designs and material concepts can then be developed at a later stage.
This is followed by coordination of the concept using 3D designs, including calculations and a sample. The packaging test then involves a final comparison between the design and the prototype, including a practical test to ensure that the requirements are met.
Once all the key data has been verified, series production can begin and we can produce your customised packaging.
Packaging consulting is useful when new packaging needs to be developed, an existing solution needs to be optimised, or recurring transport damage, process problems or increased costs need to be analysed. At the outset, a targeted assessment is made to determine whether the enquiry is a suitable project for packaging development.
If this is the case, structured and comprehensive consultation is crucial. The more detailed the requirements, framework conditions, ideas and packaging solutions used to date are recorded, the faster, more targeted and more economical a suitable packaging solution can be developed and implemented.
Consultations at Knüppel take place either digitally or in person at your premises, depending on the project requirements. Your enquiry will first be received by the responsible regional sales manager, who will coordinate the further consultation process.
For sampling and technically demanding or very extensive projects, a product manager from our in-house packaging development is also involved and is available on site in person if required.
