Knüppel Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG is a medium-sized, owner-managed company and is one of Europe's leading providers of integrated packaging solutions for industry, trade and logistics. In addition to a comprehensive standard programme, our focus is on comprehensive advice, innovative solutions and the development of individual packaging concepts. We offer customised packaging solutions for almost every application.
Company foundation
Born from a passion for paper
1919. After the war, the economy is in ruins. Entrepreneurial action is the only way to bring about change. Hermann Christian Knüppel boldly opens a paper wholesaler and is determined to use his experience and ideas to succeed as an entrepreneur. On 1 April 1919, he lays the foundation stone for the Knüppel Verpackung company in Hann. Münden. 50 years later, he passes on his experience to his grandson Gerhard Hahn.
Today, Gerhard Hahn and his son Ernst Hahn head the company with almost 400 employees. Although a lot has changed since the foundation: the importance of paper in the packaging process has remained the same - as has the ambition to always find practical and state-of-the-art packaging solutions for customers. This is because today's extremely diversified freight transport and a multitude of different distribution channels create new challenges with almost every new product. There is a lot that can already be achieved with cleverly used standard packaging materials - if necessary by combining them. However, it is often a case of developing individual solutions using the entire range of different design options and materials.

Whether it is standard packaging or constructive packaging, our goal is always the complete satisfaction of our customers and their recipients. The key factors here are the technically smooth handling of the packaging, its cost-effectiveness and ecological sustainability - and, of course, the safety of the packaged goods.
Since its foundation, our company has continued to develop and expand its customer base. We are proud of our network of specialist expertise in materials, handling and process orientation, but also of our own successful products such as FleeceGuard®, Nolco and the high-performance stretch film BlueCast. With our joint venture EXCOR®, we are expanding our portfolio and offering you packaging solutions from the technology leader in temporary corrosion protection.
None of this would be possible without our experienced and dedicated employees, who play a key role in ensuring that we create the highest added value for our customers at all times. We always remain true to our motto ‘Innovative from experience’: Knüppel Verpackung combines a down-to-earth approach and traditional quality standards with the development of innovative packaging solutions. To achieve this, we offer our customers modern structures and state-of-the-art technology.
